“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:18
Paul, in this passage speaks about the vale that Moses wore when with the people to shield them from his face that shined from the glory of God. His point is that if Moses reflected God’s glory from spending time with God Who gave him the 10 commandments and the Law, HOW MUCH MORE, should we reflect God’s glory, having reflected the liberty and salvation, completed in Jesus Christ our Lord! Paul’s point is that if an encounter with God that produed Law was so full of glory, imagine what glory should be reflected from knowing Jesus! As we look in the mirror (proverbially or otherwise) day by day we should start to see a reflection of that GLORY-GOD’S GLORY! Having the Very Spirit of God in our lives inevitability will produce these results! Here’s some food for thought-if the GLORY of God can be defined a physical manifestation of God’s Presence, doesn’t it make sense that the Church-the Bride of Christ, should carry and actually BE the physical manifestation of Jesus on the earth? WE ARE, afterall the BODY OF CHRIST! (The body’s the part of us you see!) Think about it!
