TAKE 5–JANUARY 27, 2017

“May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works— he who looks at the earth, and it trembles, who touches the mountains, and they smoke. I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the Lord . But may sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more. Praise the Lord , my soul. Praise the Lord.”
Psalm 104:31‭-‬35

David ends his prayer by blessing God in the since that we, as humans desire to be blessed by God.
“May the glory of the Lord endure forever” and “May the Lord rejoice in His works”. David, in previous verses of this same psalm, has recited thing after thing after thing that God has created in perfection and complexity and is praying here in verse 31, that He would enjoy His creation to the point of REJOICING in it. God does, indeed, rejoice over us as people (Zeph. 3:17). This fact alone should be a major source of affirmation for us!
David continues by pledging to sing to God with everything he is for everyday day of his life! He then prayed a tender prayer, “May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the Lord”. May WHAT I THINK ABOUT please You, God!
He concludes with “praise or bless the Lord, my soul–praise the Lord!

My prayer is that whatever I think about, whatever I say and whatever I do today is pleasing to God and thus praises and blesses Him!
What’s yours?
Think about it!
