“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”  John 1:1
“In the beginning”. These words are essential to humans-we have to have a beginning! These words are also used in Genesis 1:1, where we find God the Creator, creating!
We are finite creatures who live in a finite beginning. We spend millions of dollars annually celebrating beginnings: birthdays and anniversaries. Imagine how lost and disconnected you’d feel without knowing your birthdate! Our beginnings, and celebrating that with family and friends, some of whom REMEMBER your beginning, validates us as human beings-our beginning is worth remembering to someone and thus, testifies to our worth!
God, on the other hand is infinite. He has no beginning and no end. When He writes “in the beginning”, its clearly for our sakes. We are important to God and our knowing Him is important to Him, so He gives us a beginning that includes Him, the One Who’s always been, creating His prize creation: you!
God was in the beginning (Genesis 1:1). Jesus was in the beginning (John 1:1)
YOU were in His heart from the beginning! Think about it!
