“When I was secure, I said, “I will never be shaken.” Lord , when You showed Your favor, You made me stand like a strong mountain; when You hid Your face, I was terrified. Lord , I called to You; I sought favor from my Lord:”  Psalms 30:6‭-‬8

David’s confidence in God was unshakable. He had lived thru much calamity in life and God had saved him on many occasions, but notice WHEN David made the choice to have unshakable faith-it was during a GOOD times in life, not a testing time! Like almost all quality integrity–based decisions, the choice to follow God unconditionally, MUST BE MADE BEFORE THE TEMPTATION TO ABANDON HIM COMES! The same is true of deciding AHEAD OF TIME to live free of sexual sin, free of substance use and abuse and free of integrity issues. Quality decisions of this nature MUST be made aheaf of the temptation and MUST be made BEFORE GOD and FOR GOD ALONE! Failure to do so will ALMOST ALWAYS guarantee failure itself! David lived his life aware of God’s Presence! Consequently, he stood strong like a mountain and when he failed, he repented!

Decide when you’re secure to trust God when you’re not, THEN call/cry out to Him! He ALWAYS delivers and He never fails to give us His favor and love. He’s always faithful to us-let’s make up our mind, with the Holy Spirit’s power  to always be faithful to Him! Think about it!
