“How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked or take the path of sinners or join a group of mockers! Instead, his delight is in the Lord ’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night. He is like a tree planted beside streams of water that bears its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.” Psalms 1:1-3
What do you delight in? This verse says that those who delight in God’s word is happy or blessed! Those who take advise from the wicked (advising them to sin), choose the path of sinners or sit in the council of those who mock God are, by infurence, neither happy nor blessed! By contrast, the happy blessed person take delight (and instruction) from, and meditates on God’s word both day and night. The result? THAT PERSON (the happy, blessed one) is strong and planted like a tree, which produces fruit because becauae he or she is in season. Apperently, this season for this strong, planted, happy-blessed person is perpetual because the writer says their leaves never wither-they stay in season! They keep bearing fruit! EVERYTHING they do prospers! ALL BECAUSE THEY DELIGHT IN GOD’S LAW (written word and principles). What do you delight in? Think about it!
