“But you, Lord , sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations. The nations will fear the name of the Lord , all the kings of the earth will revere your glory. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end. The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.”
Psalm 102:12‭, ‬15‭-‬15‭, ‬26‭-‬28

There is very little on this earth and in this life that’s truely predictable. Circumstances change. Feelings change. Alliegences change. Leaders change. Goverenments rise and fall. Thankfully, God remains the same and is very predictable!
This Psalm talks about the unpredictability of life. Its also speaks of the stable and predictable character of God Almighty!
He says, “You, Lord, sit on Your throne”, despite what is happening in our world and despite the fickleness of people.
The psalm sings out that the rulers and nations of the earth will fear and honor the Name of God, despite who is currently ruling on earth. Though earthly rulers change, this psalm sayes, “wear out like a garment”, that You, Lord “change and discard”, “You (God) remain the same, and Your years will never end.”
Then, here’s a great promise, “The children of Your servants will live in Your Presence; their descendants will be established before You”!
This promise resonates particularly with parents, in light of and ever- shifting, ever-changing world! We, as believers have the privilage of living life on God’s Presence. We have the promise that our off-spring can live in His Presence, too! Even our descendants will live before God!
In an unpridictable, ever- changing world, our very predictable, unchanging God still rules and reigns, despite which government or leader is in office!
Rest in His Presence today-He’s only a prayer away! Think about it!
