“After Herod died, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Get up! Take the child and His mother and go to the land of Israel, because those who sought the child’s life are dead.” So he got up, took the child and His mother, and entered the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was ruling over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned in a dream, he withdrew to the region of Galilee. Then he went and settled in a town called Nazareth to fulfill what was spoken through the prophets, that He will be called a Nazarene.”
Matthew 2:19-23
“The boy grew up and became strong, filled with wisdom, and God’s grace was on Him.”
Luke 2:40
Herod later dies so the same angle, presumably Gabriel, vame back to Joseph and told him it was time to go home. Joseph, Mary and Jesus return to Israel. Still being a little nervous that Herod’s son, Archelaus was ruling, Joseph went on to the province of Galilee and settled in a town called Nazareth, fulfilling an obscure little prophecy, found in the apocalyptic writing of a man named Jarome, as well as a collective Hebrew “play-on-words” named “NeTseR” that translates, “branch”, which is used multiple times in the canonized Bible to describe the coming Messiah! Bottom line-God arranged ALL THINGS in Jesus’ life, as well as in history to fulfill prophecy!
What’s more, Lukes account of Jesus’ young life includes that Jesus grew to become “strong, filled with wisdom, and (with) God’s grace was on Him.”
We don’t know a lot about Jesus’ childhood, but we do know that He became strong, Godly, very aware of His Heavenly Father’s working in the world and that He learned His earthly father’s trade (Luke 2:41-52, Mark 6:3).
Jesus grew up as a normal boy for His time, Who abnormally carried the Presence of God into the earth! He was Who He needed to be at just the right time in human history.
Think about it!
