“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.”

Ephesians 1:19‭-‬20 Paul continues his prayer for the Ephesian believers who were strong in faith and loving to people everywhere, asking for God to give them “spiritual wisdom and insight”, that their hearts would be “flooded with Light so they could understand what He has given those who are called”. Now he adds “that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him.” This is an awesome request he makes of God, that a human, even a reborn human could understand God’s mighty POWER! Paul realizes that this is incredible because he adds, “This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand.” So what kind of Power raised Jesus from the dead? Power only God processes! No matter how hard we try, we can’t create LIFE! We can replicate and mimic it, but at the day, GOD is the Giver and Taker of Life! (I Samual 2:6) The Power that sends the very electron impulse that beats a living heart cannot be humanly produced and for all of our wit and technology, we still don’t understand it! THAT’s the Power that raised Jesus from the dead!

And not only raised Jesus from the dead, but seated Him in the place of authority, on the very throne of God, in Heaven!

That’s the Power Paul asked God for the Ephesian church to have and that’s the same Power we need to live out our Christian lives.

That’s the Power I pray for you and I today!
