TAKE 5

“With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.”

Ephesians 4:17‭-‬19

So Paul, writing to the church at Ephesus, a Greek community, tells them and us,
“Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused.” He writes this very seriously, sighting that what he said, was said with the Authority of God Himself! Paul doesn’t say this bc he was prejudice and didn’t like Gentiles (non-Hebrews), he says this because the culture of the Ephesians worshipped the Greek gods, a bunch of them! So is here is a description of those Gentiles:
1. Their minds are full of darkness
2. They wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against Him
3. They have no sense of shame
4. They live for lustful pleasure
5. They eagerly practice every kind of impurity.

So to summarize, the Gentiles were in darkness, they were wanderers, they had hard hearts toward God, shameless, lustful and practices of iniquity! He says it in a nutshell in vs 17: they were hopelessly confused!

Who’s the author of confusion? The devil himself! Jesus died to break this confusion and to bring you into His glorious light! Where are you today?
Think about it!
