“Come, let us shout joyfully to the Lord , shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation! Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout triumphantly to Him in song. For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods. Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care.” Psalms 95:1-3, 6-7
Psalm 95 is an invitation to come worship God. Many expressions of worship are listed here.
We’re told to shout joyfully and triumphantly! As it is in Psalm 100, we’re told to enter God’s presence with THANKSGIVING and to express ourselves in SONG. God is esteemed as “great” and as a “Great King above all gods”.
We’re invited to BOW DOWN or kneel down and acknowledge Him as our Maker.
Finally, the Psalmist, again much like Psalm 100, reminds us that we sheep and that God is our Good Shepherd! Good sheep FOLLOW a Good Shepherd!
Sunday is the traditional day of worship, however our worship of God should extend well past Sunday! We should worship God and as good sheep, follow the Good Shepherd everyday. Because of Jesus’ sacrfice on the cross, we don’t have to wait to follow a preist into the Presence of God. We have unlimited-24 hr access to the Shepherd, the King, the Lord our Maker!
“Come, let us worship . . .TODAY!
Think about it!
